On Christmas Eve, a child is magically taken from a bedroom to Santa’s busy workshop. Santa names the child “Helper of the Day,” and the child learns to wrap gifts, test toys, and sort presents with the elves. After a few funny mistakes and a moment of teamwork, Santa rewards the helper with a silver bell that rings only for those who believe in kindness. A warm glow returns the child home, where the bell still sparkles on the pillow. When it’s shaken, it rings once—Santa’s way of saying he remembers the magical night as an elf for a day.
